Unfortunately the finish on this wooden crochet hook was rough and unrefined and the wool kept catching on the jagged edges at base of hook. I tried sanding it with sand paper to no avail, so went and purchased one from the local fabric and yarn store. The good news is that this has never happened before and I have purchased quite a few things from Cardigang in the past, so one bad item ain't bad! I still love Cardigang and will continue to purchase/support them - they rock!

The hook was part of kit. Of itself, lovely to work with. As part of the kit, made it easy to start and keep going on the project

Cardigang crochet hooks are the bomb! The 10mm has just the right sized mouth to catch & hold one strand of chunky Cardigang merino wool. The hook depth has kept my stitch size & tension consistent. It slides smoothly through the wool & the tip is not too pointy, so it's not hurting my sensitive fingers. I tried another hook & prefer Cardigang's

I am a beginner so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I think it is a good crochet hook, and it does the job.

I usually crochet with a different brand but I enjoyed using this hook with the chunky yarn. Good value for money.

There are a lot of pros to this hook. First, it's sturdy. I've seen people use other hooks made from plastic and they sometimes snap, you don't need to worry about that with this solid wood hook. It's smooth so the yarn glides nicely. Lastly, now that I've learned to crochet I've bought a set of hooks that includes 10 standard sizes, but not this larger size so it's not redundant in my collection.

It's smooth and tactile and works well.

I'm a beginner, a lefty struggling to turn my brain around in the right handed videos, but do love to use this hook.

I love the fact that it’s made of bamboo and that it fit nicely in my hand. It hooks the wool well and doesn’t snag or slip.

I've never done any kind of crochet before so it was a little struggle to get started. You need patience and practice as much as you can before you get started so this helped me a lot. I'm still working on my cardigan but I have to say it's really fun and relaxing. A way to zone out and focus on what you have to do now. The quality of material is very good, instructions are somewhat clear (it's my first time, you get it) and the bag is just so cute!!!! Loving this wild learning journey 🤗

Really great hook, easy to use and slides through wool easily. Only downside is the blue paint comes off and has gone all over the hook. Not a biggie though.
