I bought this kit in winter of 2024, and have finished it today in summer 2026. I am so proud!! I had never knitted before and after I learned new stitches, got familiar with the ginormous needles, purled instead of knitted, had to unpick and unpick, dropped stitches and somehow made new ones (???) and threw the whole thing in a drawer for 6 months so it could think about what it’d done, I finally finished. I could weep with happiness. I’m not 100% convinced it’s truly “never knitted before, whole thing is a breeze!” as the marketing would have us believe, but I am a beginner, and I did finish it, and it looks good! P.S Starting the whole thing off with rib stitch was evil and nearly had me booking myself into an asylum xxx but I got through it!

Lovely Jane! Very easy to follow instructions and videos. Even though I had knitted before, I looked at all the videos available online for more inspiration, tips and tricks, plus also because I found the European way of knitting (what I was taught by my Mum) wasn’t as easy on the hands as the Australian way with this chunky yarn and needles. Also, the sewing together videos were excellent! Thank you for all these videos :)

I knitted this for my daughter, who chose Glazed Donut, a beautiful neutral. I plan to do a bright one for myself next time! So hard to choose a colour! She wanted pockets, which I added during the sewing up process. Just 10 stitches and 10 or 12 rows including 4 rib rows. I might add a ribbed edge around the front/ inside neck next time to deter the curling of the stockinette stitch.

Loved the whole package, with the bag and everything needed to make the cardigan.

I won’t say it was a breeze but I followed the advice to practice, practice, practice. Then I unpicked and practiced again. It’s not perfect but I did it and am so happy with the result.

This was so easy. I really enjoyed every minute of it. Easy to follow instructions. Instead of wasting my time scrolling through my phone I have created something I love. Thank you

I've only just started on the Jane Beginner Cardigan but I love it. The crazy thing is it's easier than the scarf! I've made a couple of mistakes, but I've decided to take that in my stride. It's the little imperfections that make things original.

First time knitting, i made it in 8 days! Such a win! I love it, though it is truly enormous. If you like an oversized aesthetic, just get your regular size, don't size up.

New to knitting as an adult I needed to learn from the beginning again. The instructions I found to be very user friendly and supportive of old dogs learning new tricks!! I love the end result and have family putting in orders for next winter now!

After years of just not ‘getting’ knitting, I bought this and everything just ‘clicked’. The instructions weee way to understand and the yarn is gorgeous in both colour and feel. I have now bought another 3 kits and each a little more challenging.
