Very simple pattern to follow, wonderful quality of all the materials included in the kit. This is my first proper knitting project and while I've made a few mistakes along the way this has been a perfect pattern to dip my toes in.

I really had the best time learning how to knit with the Elle baby blanket and it is so satisfying finishing it. It is a learning curve for someone who never knitted in her entire life - from the cast on, the stitch, the garter and the purl stitch... it all came together in the end. Casting off then became easy peasy which became such a closure for me with this blanket.

To all new knitters, my advice with this blanket is that, give yourself grace for the first 1-2 days especially with the first 10 rows of border. It's so okay to miss a couple of stiches and if you do, just go back or undo and start again. I promise you, it will get easier and your confidence will grow and the next thing you know, you are switching from a garter stitch to a purl stitch like a pro. Yes, I'd like to call myself a pro because I did it and so can everybody reading this =)

I absolutely loved this project & the act of knitting, but I think it may have uncovered an undiagnosed case of ADHD 🤣

My seasoned knitter friend had to help unpick my first go around - when I somehow managed to get in some extra stitches and was headed towards a trapezoid shaped blanket.

On re-starting, this time with a row counter on my finger, I lost focus and did some extra rows of knit stitch some rows into the stockinette section. Then noticed that I had 4 random knit stitches in the middle of a row of purl stitch after 25 rows in!!

I reached out to the Cardigang SOS line, as my knitter friend was away by this time & I was on a baby shower deadline. They assured me that there was enough wool at this point to start over & gave advice on unpicking as a backup plan.

I doubled down on my concentration to finish the blanket ... and was so chuffed with the final result. The finished blanket has a small quirk, which I actually found hilarious after the adventure that was making this pattern & decided to embrace it by proudly sewing the "made by me" tag right next to it!

This was so much fun(I haven't laughed at myself so much since trying a paint and sip sesh), is really easy if you maintain focus, and of course I love that there is help available from the cardi-girl-gang if needed!

Very easy to make and lovely soft wool. A great gift for a baby.

This was the perfect amount of spice, will admit it took me 4 weeks on and off but great fun. Addictive to say the least 😊

I’ve been wanting to get into knitting for a while but had no idea where to start. This kit was perfect! Had absolutely everything you needed and it was so simple to follow! We are TTC so hopefully one day we’ll have our baby wrapped up in something also made from scratch 💛

This is a great knit for a first time knitter. Took me a while to get used to the technique but the videos were very helpful. I will say it takes WAY longer than 4-7 hours if you have zero experience. I’m not finished yet and have already spent about 20 hours on it. I am planning to purchase a second pack for another gift.

Although it did take a while to get the hang of. I did finally complete this blanket and it's lovely. Quite simple to follow but still have to concentrate LOL. Great to have a new skill 🙂

This blanket was so easy to make. A great thing to do whilst sitting and watching a movie. The wool is SO soft and the colours are gorgeous.Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this! The pattern was ray to follow, the videos were really helpful in understanding the different stitches, and the end product was exactly what I was hoping for. Would highly recommend, will be our aging more products

The pattern is so easy to follow,and I love how easy it is to understand.And to have the right needles with it really helps.I am having a lot of funny knitting it.My boy Joey who will be getting the finished blanket loves to watch me knitting it.

I recently purchased a beginner baby blanket kit. I only knew the basics of knitting so didn't want anything complicated.
The kit is fabulous and a great way to reintroduce myself to knitting, as well as creating a beautiful hand made gift for my niece who is expecting. Love the drawstring bag the kit comes in. Highly recommend!

My first ever time knitting, the instructions are clear and the videos helpful. Yarn feels nice quality, colour choices were great.

Knitted this blanket for a friend and her baby - was concerned the size would be too small - its totally fine and a great size. After learning the stitches, it was very easy to knit and immensely satisfying. It put the love of knitting in me :)
