Obsessed! First time knitting anything and definitely not the last time thanks to Cardigang. Reminded me of the days when my grandmother tried to teach me when I was young but back then I couldn’t understand how she did it.

Love love Cardigang, I’ve never knitted in my life (I’m 58) but always wanted to give it a try, Cardigang made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Thank you for helping me get a sense of achievement.

Absolutely love this scarf! My first time doing this! It took me a few tries to get the hang of it and learning from the videos but after a few watches and a few tries, I got the hang of it and absolutely am obsessed. Already looking to buy my next one!!

Spring Fling (Not So Plain) Jane

I’m still in the process of sewing her up. She was so quick to knit and the instructions and videos are really clear. The only reason I gave her four stars is because I could tell I would just ever so slightly run out of wool and I needed to keep some for sewing up so I had to throw in some random sleeve cuffs. I don’t mind the mismatched look personally, however, I am a pretty seasoned knitter and my tension was spot on (checked it twice) so perhaps the balls of wool we’re not actually 80m long I think. I also had one ball of wool that had 4 joins which was frustrating. I would not buy the chunky acrylic again as it’s superdeeduperdee bulky and I will look like the Michelin Man on psychedelic steroids, however, I am keen to knit the pattern again in a soft merino wool which I think will soften the look. Overall I am pretty happy with my Jane Cardigan !

Easy!

This came out much better than anticipated - I have never been the crafty type. :-)

Buy buy buy!

This is the easiest plan to follow, EVER!
So quick to see your results come together. Altho, I didn’t see until the end that I’d made it a bit too generous in size. Oh well, it’s now my winter blanket-igan.
Buy this, you won’t regret it. It’s fool proof, and fantastic!

Tricky but persisted !

First time knitter, long time crocheter. Got there in the end after a lot of mistakes. The written instructions really need the videos to aid, however the online videos are too simplistic and lack troubleshooting e.g how to unravel, cast back on if a mistake is made, twisting of yarn. This would have saved a lot of challenges.

Handmade with Love

After not touching a knitting needle since I was a kid, starting the Mini Jane with Cardigang has been the ultimate "welcome back" to the craft. There is something so incredibly soul-soothing about sitting down to relax and watching this gorgeous, "boutique-quality" piece grow for my six-year-old daughter. It’s grown into so much more than just a cardigan; seeing her excitement knowing I’m making this specifically for her has turned a simple hobby into a beautiful family memory I know we’ll cherish forever.

Easy knit for complete beginner!

This was my first ever knitting project. Although it took me a long time, I found it relatively straightforward. The videos were very helpful and a good reference to go back to when needed. The trickiest part for me was sewing it all together and getting a neat finish. But overall I’m very happy with the result!

Great beginner kit

I am delighted with my cardi! It was relatively easy and the chunky yarn is very forgiving. Great instructions and I loved the record card so you can keep track.

Easy to follow

As a beginner knitter, it was such an easy pattern to follow. The helpful videos and easy to follow instructions helped me to finish this cardigan in no time. Would highly recommend these kits to anyone who wants to begin knitting or use it as a destressor!!!!

I love this company

This is my first Jane cardigan completed! I loved this project so much I bought my daughter the mini Jane cardigan with the same yarn so I can make her one and we can match. This company has truly given me so much peace in my down time and I look forward to every project I get to create from this company. It’s given me purpose again beyond being a working mom. I normally love painting but find this to be easier to work on and have a creative outlet while living a busy life. The videos are so easy to follow and the directions are so clear and helpful. I’ve truly loved learning how to knit and crochet with Cardigang and I highly recommend this Jane cardigan for your next project!

Awesome Kit!

Lovely Jane! Very easy to follow instructions and videos. Even though I had knitted before, I looked at all the videos available online for more inspiration, tips and tricks, plus also because I found the European way of knitting (what I was taught by my Mum) wasn’t as easy on the hands as the Australian way with this chunky yarn and needles. Also, the sewing together videos were excellent! Thank you for all these videos :)
I knitted this for my daughter, who chose Glazed Donut, a beautiful neutral. I plan to do a bright one for myself next time! So hard to choose a colour! She wanted pockets, which I added during the sewing up process. Just 10 stitches and 10 or 12 rows including 4 rib rows. I might add a ribbed edge around the front/ inside neck next time to deter the curling of the stockinette stitch.
Loved the whole package, with the bag and everything needed to make the cardigan.
A very colourful, friendly and funky company!

Absolute Beginner

I won’t say it was a breeze but I followed the advice to practice, practice, practice. Then I unpicked and practiced again. It’s not perfect but I did it and am so happy with the result.

Just started...

I've only just started on the Jane Beginner Cardigan but I love it. The crazy thing is it's easier than the scarf! I've made a couple of mistakes, but I've decided to take that in my stride. It's the little imperfections that make things original.

Gorgeous colour!

I got the green yarn and it's a really lovely colour! Instructions/pattern is easy to follow and I love how it's set out (eg. Cross/tick off rows for knit/purl).

Some criticisms - I've knitted a fair bit (not an expert by any means) and I felt like the kit as a whole is unintentionally more difficult than it needs to be. For example, the 15mm needles are beautiful quality, but it is extremely difficult to see if you're making any mistakes because it's so cramped on the needles (especially if knitting the back piece). I switched to my own 15mm circular needles at some point to make it easier. I can totally see how easy it is to make mistakes on the straight needles (and in fact, I did).

Other small issues - a couple of balls of yarn had joins very early on which surprised me especially considering the price and quality.

All in all though, it is a cute kit - love that it is making knitting more accessible and modern for people as it's such a great skill and hobby to cultivate.

P.S. I recommend blocking the cardigan too!

Thrilled with new skill

New to knitting as an adult I needed to learn from the beginning again. The instructions I found to be very user friendly and supportive of old dogs learning new tricks!! I love the end result and have family putting in orders for next winter now!

The perfect beginner cardigan kit

After years of just not ‘getting’ knitting, I bought this and everything just ‘clicked’. The instructions weee way to understand and the yarn is gorgeous in both colour and feel. I have now bought another 3 kits and each a little more challenging.

Love this cardi

I had never knitted before in my life, although I can crochet. I looked at this kit a few times before I took the leap and tried it. I looked at the videos and also had a girls night in with a friend who can knit and she showed me the ropes over dinner and I looked at the videos when I got stuck on my own. Turns out I’m a continental knitter (left handed yarn over, with right handed knitting). I whipped this up pretty quickly, just by doing a little each night while watching telly. I’m sure I didn’t sew it together correctly but I did it so it looks the same on both sides and it looks fine. I’m super happy with how it turned out and the hot pink looks great and I wore it everywhere over the winter.

Why your brain will love this

Your brain’s new bestie

Knitting gives your hands something to do and your mind somewhere to rest. The steady rhythm can help things feel a little quieter, especially after a long day.

Confidence, stitched in

Every row is a small step forward. Watching something take shape, slowly and imperfectly, can build confidence in a way that feels gentle and earned.

Focus, without the pressure

Engaging enough to keep you present. Relaxed enough to help you unwind. It’s an easy way to focus without feeling switched on all the time.

SOMETHING YOU CAN’T BUY

You’re not just making a piece. You’re making something with time in it. Something personal, imperfect, and yours.
