I was super happy with the end result, it's cute and satisfyingly chunky.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that the video explainers could definitely be improved. Especially for sewing the sides together and cinching the top. I had to look up other videos online to understand how to join garter stitch (the Cardigang videos showed a different stitch, I'm sure that fine for those who've knitted before but I'm a complete beginner).
I loved the deep blue yarn and how quickly it comes together with thick yarn and 12mm needles.
Also another tip for others, measure your head against it before joining the sides. I wish this had been a prompt in the pattern, as I would have liked one extra row. The sewing together doesn't add much size (I wasn't sure how much it would grow at that point).
My recommendation - it's a good beanie, fun to make, you might need to look up supplementary videos if you're a total beginner.

This was the perfect beginners kit for me.
Sewing together the cast on & cast off sides was tricky at first, but I soon realised it doesn’t need to be neat/tidy & the seam hides really well. Easy to follow videos via the QR code. I have purchased additional yarn to make more beanies as gifts for friends/family

Even though I am an experienced knitter, I’ve chosen Cardigang as these items grow really quickly and look great!

A fun and easy project except for the stitching together, so I’ve rated it 4. Because the video shows sewing stockinette stitches instead of garter, it was much harder to understand.i finally just winged it after many tries. Final result great though! I added a pompom too, using the Rachel beanie kit pompom maker. (Just starting the Rachel now, and have done the Jane and Shannon cardigans this winter.)

Super beginner friendly pattern! A quick and gorgeous knitted hat! Loved this! I made a second straight away!!

Took some practice but once I learnt not to add stitches it all went smoothly. Excited to keep knitting and making new things.

I noticed that my screen time had been creeping up and I am not a big TV watcher. I saw the cardi gang on social media put things in my cart for about 4 weeks ignoring them. I do love a good cardi so pressed pay now.
The cardi and fee bean arrived in record time. I have not knitted since I was 14 so 42 years ago. I smashed out the beanie in 24 hours on a wet camping day and it was put to good use straight away. Can't wait to start the cardigan.

This kit certainly made knitting a beanie super easy. Testing your gauge is important so that you can be sure it won’t be tight on your head, along with checking that your product matches the measurements as recommended in the instructions.

I finished the beanie but it sits up straight like a top hat instead of softly slouching on my head. Maybe I knitted too tight? I’ll use a softer 100% wool next time.

I found the paper instructions really helpful and the QR link to videos of all the basic techniques fantastic - I started as a complete novice and I was able to master these after watching the videos a few times. My ONLY suggestion would be to make the very last set of instructions about joining the beanie together clearer - it felt like it was the step with the least amount of information and I was really confused, so my beanie turned into a sack! Apart from that really happy with my experience and keen to start another kit!

Knitted this beanie as a little trial run and now I’m hooked, surprised at how easy and enjoyable it was, and have ordered a few more kits to get stuck into.

Great to knit, simple, hardest bit was to getting the sewing up correct so stitches didn't show.

Excellent pattern. I did need to do a bunch more rows than it said, to make one big enough for my kid. I've since bought more yarn and made it again .

This was my first time really knitting in 20+ years. The instructions were super easy to follow and the video tutorials helped through each step. I now have a lovely rainbow beanie for winter. 10/10 would recommend.
