Emma Jumper Knit Kit

I loved making the Emma sweater. She knits up really quickly and the seed stitch stripes add a gorgeous texture which makes her look so fancy! The acrylic yarn is very soft and great to work with- a perfect choice for anyone, especially beginners.

This is the first jumper I have ever made and I am very impressed with the final product! I have previously made a cardigan and beanie using Cardigang kits, so this is only my third time knitting something and it was easy to follow the instructions. I had learnt to knit in the round when I did a beanie, and gained confidence understanding how to better read my knitting when I made my cardigan, so the few new things I had to learn in this kit weren’t too much of a challenge. This is also my first time using acrylic which took a little getting used to, but it’s lighter and doesn’t break as easy as the wool.

I am 165cm tall and usually a size 12 in shirts and jumpers. I ended up making my jumper in a size 14-16 so it would be an oversized look and feel. I added two rows to the sleeves in the ribbing as I found the sleeves in my cardigan prior to this were a little short, and I think the length of the sleeve with two extra rows is perfect!

I found it a little tricky to pick up the stitches to create the neckline - somehow they were all on my needle backwards/twisted when I went to knit, so I had to twist them all around but I made a mistake and this threw my rib pattern off and it ended up being seed stitch instead. I don’t actually mind the look of this as it matches in with the rest of the jumper. I wish I had cast off my stitches just a little tighter (I did it VERY loosely) as my neckline is quite large and looks a little like a cowl style.

I brought this as a gift for my mum to do silly me forgot to add the needles in when I ordered so waiting on them to arrive was a quick email and all sorted, such a lovely friendly team very happy to help and sent needles out straight away..I'm loving everything about Cardigang!!! Great style. Easy to follow instructions

Everything included that is needed to make this beautiful jumper. Would like it to be a bit longer for extra warmth in winter so hopefully enough yarn to do this.
